Rural Fire Brigades- Questions Without Notice
Mr ANDREW: My question is to the Minister for Fire and Disaster Recovery and Minister for
Corrective Services. With reference to the proposed amendments to the Fire and Emergency Services
Act 1990, is the government planning to require Queensland’s rural fire brigades to hold off from fighting fires until an urban red truck has arrived at the scene? If so, what is the reasoning behind such a change, given these trucks can take hours to arrive in areas in my electorate?
Ms BOYD: The answer is no.
