Path to Treaty- Motion

AMENDED MOTION

Mr ANDREW: I give notice that I will move—
That this House:

  1. Notes that nearly 70 percent of Queenslanders voted ‘No’ in the Federal ‘Voice’ referendum – the highest ‘no’ vote of any state or territory in the country.
  2. Notes that the Government currently holds no mandate from the Queensland people for negotiating or entering into any binding Treaties, with groups appointed to represent Queensland’s Tribal Peoples.
  3. Calls on the government to immediately refocus its time, energy and resources, on helping vulnerable Queensland households, families and workers, who are faced with one of the worst cost-of-living crises in the State’s history.

One response

  1. I almost have tears in my eyes thinking”how lucky I am to know you as well as I do. Knowing your family background and seeing that you are doing exactly what I have expected my One Nation elected members to do, and why I have supported Pauline and one Nation for 27 years.

I heard Pauline loud and clear “all people should be treated equally, disadvantagement is a state of being, irrelevant to the colour of your skin. A caring Government should take care of all people in a state of disadvantagement, regardless of race.” My words maybe not be exactly as spoken but they convey the intent.

Stephen, I respect you greatly for what you do, and your family and friends should be very proud to say that they are your firends and I would proud to be in that group.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK MATE
