You be the judge …

Queenslanders will be left at the mercy of many foreign multinationals for their future power needs, as the State ploughs billions into new transmission infrastructure and distribution networks over the next 5 years.

That was the ‘take-away’ I got today when I asked the Minister what percentage of renewable energy in Queensland, would be owned and operated by the State.

While no numbers were forthcoming, the Minister painted a picture of a heavily subsidised group of multi-nationals holding a monopoly over the state’s energy supply, giving them the power to dictate how we live and work in Queensland.

All these clandestine plans and absurd rush on the part of the government will end in a world of pain down the track.

Nothing they are telling us adds up.

One thing is clear though, the Government will need to provide these corporations with access to land, and lots of it before long.

How else will they be able to mount their monstrosities?

And where better than on our tribal people’s precious land?

Moral of the story?

Act in haste, repent at leisure.
