Recreational Pistol Shooters’ participation conditions

Queensland’s recreational pistol shooting community request that the participation conditions for maintaining a license, be revised to provide a fairer and more equitable means of counting pistol range participation days, including both practice and competition shoots.

Due to the current ‘cost of living’ crisis, many people are now working two or more jobs and travelling long distances to and from their FIFO and DIDO roles.  This makes it increasingly difficult to maintain the level of club practice and competition shoot participation needed to retain their licences and continue enjoying recreational pistol shooting.
